Course description
Feeling mentally overloaded by exams, deadlines and constant screen time? This forest bathing workshop offers Wageningen University students a chance to slow down, relax and reconnect with nature.
Forest bathing (Shinrin-yoku) is a scientifically supported wellbeing practice from Japan. During this guided session, you will walk slowly through nature and take part in simple sensory invitations that help you calm your mind, reduce stress and improve focus.
Many students leave the session feeling more grounded, mentally refreshed and better able to concentrate.
No experience with meditation, mindfulness or nature activities is needed — everyone is welcome.
The session lasts about 1.5 hours, takes place on or around campus, and is free of charge through Student Training & Workshops. We finish with a simple tea ceremony to help you gently transition back into your day.
